The HLC-1 is used as a high temperature shutdown by plugging your lights into the outlet and setting the maximum temperature that your growing environment can sustain. If this setting is exceeded, your lights will turn off. This is cheap insurance for your garden. The HLC-1 can also be used as a heating thermostat. Connect your heating equipment to the heating outlet, and then set the temperature that you wish to maintain. If the temperature falls below your setting, the heating outlet is activated. Comes with a 3 foot remote temperature sensor.

The HLC-2 is designed to protect your expensive HID lights from "Hot Starts." A hot start occurs whenever your lights are turned OFF and then back ON before the lamp is allowed to cool off. Hot starts caused by power outages reduce your lamp's life and intensity. When the HLC-2 is connected to your lights, it will sense a power interruption and start a 15 minute time delay to keep the lights from trying to re-fire during the cool down period. The HLC-2 can also be used to delay other devices from starting for 15 minutes when power is applied.

The HLC-3 HID lighting controller combines the functions of the HLC-1 and HLC-2 to protect your expensive HID lights from hot starts and your garden from high temperatures. A high temperature shutdown provides insurance from crop damage due to high heat from ventilation and cooling problems. When connected to your lights, it will monitor your growing area's temperature and disable your lights if the maximum temperature you specify is exceeded. The HLC-3 will also sense a power interruption and start a 15 minute time delay to keep your lights from trying to re-fire during the cool down period. Comes with a 3 foot remote temperature sensor.

The UPM-1 Universal Power Module is a unique device that can allow the user to run additional HID lights or control multiple fans/air conditioners or other high amperage 120 volt equipment. The UPM-1's "plug-box" is designed to be plugged into a standard household outlet. The 16 foot "trigger cable" coming from the UPM-1 is then connected to your control device such as a time clock, thermostat or environmental controller. When the control device applies power to the "trigger cable", the relay inside the UPM-1 applies power to the twin outlets on the front of the UPM-1.

The HPR-1 is a hard-wired 30 amp capacity, 240 volt version of the UPM-1. The HPR-1 is perfect for controlling higher loads such as large air conditioners or multiple HID ballasts. You supply 240 volt power to the input side of the HPR-1. The air conditioner or ballasts to be controlled are then hard-wired into the output side of the relay. The 16 foot "trigger cable" coming from the HPR-1 is then connected to your control device such as a time clock, thermostat or environmental controller. When the device applies power to the "trigger cable", the relay in the HPR-1 applies power to the connected equipment.
